Want to start a new discussion? First, be sure to read our Community Guidelines to make sure you fully understand them.
Then you can take some time to familiarize yourself with the forum, click on tags in the tag system, and search for keywords.
When you're ready to post a new discussion, please follow the steps below:
- When you're at the homepage, click button "Start a Discussion" at the top left corner
- A new dialog slides up from the bottom and you can start writing.
- Discussion title: Use descriptive titles that accurately reflect your topic.
- Choose Tags: Tag is required for a discussion to help organize everything. Click the dashed-bordered button on the right of your avatar to bring up the tag selection popup. Note: if you "Start a Discussion" when browsing posts inside a tag, it will automatically select that tag by default.
- Select your tags that are relevant to your topic. Please note that there are parent-child tags. You can only select a child tag if parent tag is selected. There is a maximum of four (4) tags allowed for a discussion. If you don't know which tag to select, please read this post: How to navigate the community.
- You can also search for a tag if you don't want to manually browse the tag list.
- After selecting tags, click OK to close the popup
- Enter your discussion content. You can use the bottom toolbar to format your discussion with basic tools: tag someone else with @, headings, text styles, quotes, codes, hyperlinks, media (link insertion is recommended), bullet points, ordered list, etc.
- After you finish the work, just click the Save Changes button to submit your discussion.
Congratulations! You just have your first discussion with the community. Also, you can edit a discussion after posting it.
Note:
- For optimal understanding and assistance, please post in English.
- Avoid repetitive posts: repeated posts on the same topic may hinder responses.
